The name Podere La Grottaindicates a panoramic headland situated halfway between the Adriatic Sea and theApennines: the area is located between the town of Bertinoro and the Rubicon Valley (with the charming villages of Longiano, Montiano, Roncofreddo).
The vineyard is a whole, almost an entire hill, with elevation from 200 to 270 meters above sea level, with an average gradient of one in five, at certain points almost doubling this gradient.

The cave and the land lie South of it, in the bucolic hamlet of Saiano, in Roman times called Castrum Sajani, a wild and woody area inhabited by about fifty people, ensconced in stunning nature.
